Downtown Bentonville presents Emerald Evenings in March

BENTONVILLE -- Downtown Bentonville will not kick off its First Friday season this month, but it will present Emerald Evenings that feature Irish music starting Tuesday.

The decision not to hold a First Friday in March was based on past weather issues, Krystle Goodwin, event manager, said in an email.

"The Emerald Evenings is a new event for us this year," she wrote. "We wanted to provide the community with multiple events in the month of March to make up for eliminating the First Friday."

Performances will be around downtown from Tuesday through March 14, according to a news release.

Times and places include:

• Silvermore Trio from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Table Mesa.

• Jonathan Ramsey and the Ozark Ceili Band from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Tavola.

• Jonathan Ramsey from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Pressroom.

• Jonathan Ramsey from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 13 at Tusk and Trotter.
