ASU's Gamble, UALR's Gault awarded Sun Belt women's honors

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas State University's Aundrea Gamble has been named the Sun Belt Conference women's basketball Player of the Year while the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Taylor Gault joins Gamble on the All-Conference first team.

UALR coach Joe Foley was named Coach of the Year after leading the Trojans to the regular season conference title.

The awards and all-conference teams were released Tuesday after a vote by the league's head coaches and a selected media panel.

Gamble is Player of the Year for the second straight year. She and Gault are joined on the All-Conference first team by Maryah Sydnor of Appalachian State; Ashley Beverly-Kelley of Troy; and Ronita Garrett of Troy.
