The candidates are vying for the chancellor's position, which was vacated by Jack Lassiter, 69, on Jan. 5. Jay Jones, the vice chancellor for finance and administration at the campus, is currently serving as an interim chancellor.

The candidates and the dates of their campus visits are:

• Richard Dawe -- president of Ozarka College in Melbourne -- on April 2 and 3.

• Robert McGehee Jr. -- dean of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Graduate School and executive director of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute -- on April 9 and 10.

• Steven Runge -- executive vice president and provost at the University of Central Arkansas -- on April 13 and 14.

Each candidate will have a public reception on the first day of the interviews from 2 to 3:15 p.m. in the Green Room of the John F. Gibson University Center.
