Acquaintance was robber, LR man tells police

A man was robbed by an acquaintance and another man Saturday night in Little Rock, police say.

Matthew Milam, 22, of Little Rock told officers he was at 4600 W. Markham St. about 10:13 p.m. counting his money in his vehicle when a man he knows as "Cool J" got in with him, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Cool J displayed a black handgun and demanded Milam's money, the report states.

Milam said, "Cool J, it's me," and said the man replied that he didn't care and demanded again that Milam give him money, the report states.

Another man appeared at the driver's side of Milam's vehicle and hit him in the mouth with a black handgun before taking a $300 pre-paid credit card, $50 cash and a driver's license out of Milam's pants pocket, police said.

Milam drove to 1400 John Barrow Road, where he called police and reported the robbery and told officers he knew Cool J through a friend, according to the report.

The man known as Cool J is described as black, 5-foot-7, weighing 145 pounds and was wearing a dark hoodie. The other man is described as black, 5-foot-7 weighing 145 pounds and was wearing a black hoodie.

Milam said both men were in a black four-door vehicle with tinted windows, police said.

Officers searched the area for the men and made no arrests.
