Honorable to talk at Clinton Center

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission member Colette Honorable will speak at the Clinton Presidential Center on Friday.

Honorable was nominated to the commission by President Barack Obama in August and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in December for a term that expires in June 2017.

Before joining the commission, Honorable was a member of the Arkansas Public Service Commission and was its chairman since January 2011.

The commission is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas and oil. It also licenses hydropower projects and reviews proposals to build liquefied natural gas terminals and interstate natural gas pipelines.
