Arkansas State Police released the name of the man killed in a car wreck Monday afternoon in Little Rock.
Mark Raney, 54, of Little Rock was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling south on South University Avenue and attempted to turn left onto West 19th Street, state police said. Another vehicle traveling north on University struck Raney's vehicle. The wreck occurred at 4:25 p.m.
Raney was pronounced dead at the scene, state police reported.
Tara Gibson, 45, of Maumelle, who was driving the car Raney was in, was injured and transported to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, state police said.
State police reported conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the collision.
