Pine Bluff police on Wednesday released photos of a vehicle tied to the shooting death last week outside a downtown hotel.

About 2 a.m. March 18, police were dispatched to the Plaza Hotel at No. 2 Convention Center Drive and found 32-year-old Christopher Pridgeon of Pine Bluff lying on the ground near the hotel.

Before that, the gunman drove into the hotel’s parking lot in a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo, got out and from the driver’s side fired several shots, striking and killing Pridgeon, Pine Bluff Police Department spokesman Officer Richard Wegner said. Ten .40-caliber shell casings lay on the ground south of Pridgeon's body, according to a police report.
