Accidents on state highways kill two

A Dardanelle woman died Tuesday night in a motorcycle crash in Pope County, Arkansas State Police said.

Tara Marie Miller, 20, was a passenger on a 2007 Harley-Davidson that struck a 2008 Dodge truck at the intersection of Arkansas 7 and Round Rock Road north of Russellville, state police reported. The wreck occurred at 8:20 p.m.

According to state police, the Harley-Davidson was traveling north on Arkansas 7 when the Dodge, traveling south on Arkansas 7, turned left into the path of the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, Austen Bryce Cathcart, 20, of Dover was injured in the crash, state police said.

State police also reported Tuesday that a Caddo Valley woman died March 19 in a one-vehicle wreck in Hot Springs.

Danielle Finister, 21, of Caddo Valley was driving west on Arkansas 70 in a 2006 Hyundai Sonata when her car failed to negotiate a curve and struck the concrete foundation of a light pole, state police said. The wreck occurred at 12:56 a.m. March 19.

Finister was ejected from the car. She was transported to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, where she was pronounced dead, state police reported.

A passenger in Finister's car, Briana Duncan, 20, of Hot Springs was also ejected from the car and transported to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, according to state police.

State police reported conditions were clear and the roads were dry at the time of both wrecks.
