Winter is technically over, but the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular continues and puts on an effects- and message-filled show, 7 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock’s Verizon Arena. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way, Bentonville, will show off the recently acquired Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 (1932, oil on canvas) as part of a focused exhibition, "Georgia O'Keeffe: See What I See," opening Saturday in the museum's north exhibition gallery. 4 JURASSIC

Prehistoric creatures are invading the Statehouse Convention Center. Discover the Dinosaurs is a walk through the giants with other activities such as the dino dig, scavenger hunt and craft stations open noon-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $18, $16 for children 2-12, $15 for ages 65 and older. Tickets for the the exhibit plus unlimited dinosaur rides, mini-golf and inflatables is $22. When spring arrives, so do the flowers and those who decide to stroll through the budding Garvan Gardens, 550 Arkridge Road, Hot Springs, can also take part in a special craft workshop. In Eggscellent Easter!, 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday, families can learn to make pysansky, Ukrainian eggs decorated with wax and dyes. The activity is open to children ages 6 and older and participation is $10 for members, $25 for nonmembers. Tours of the grounds are $15, $5 for ages 6-12, free for younger children and members. 6 JOVIALITY

Spring Break is drawing to a close, but the week of special activities continues at Heifer Village, 1 World Ave., Little Rock. The lineup of games and activities designed to teach young visitors about Heifer's mission around the world includes a fishing game, crafts, exhibits and scavenger hunts, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. through Saturday. The Royal Theatre, 111 S. Market St., Benton, will host the second annual Royal Film Festival, showcasing local, national and international filmmakers, actors and producers, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday. 9 JUDGING

A dozen area singers will take part in the second and final national qualifying rounds of the Kristin Lewis Foundation Vocal Scholarship Auditions on Saturday and Sunday in the Recital Hall, Snow Fine Arts Center, University of Central Arkansas, 201 Donaghey Ave., Conway. The singers-- sopranos Lois Hegarty of Searcy, Hayley Coughlin of Vilonia, Sarah Cain of Jonesboro, Paige Chastain of Benton, Tressa Renee Tiner of North Little Rock, Janine Locke of Richardson, Texas, and Anna Berry of Jefferson, Pa.; mezzo-sopranos Tori Clark of Bonnerdale, Veena Akama-Makia of Little Rock, Megan Le Ott of Erie, Pa.; tenor Judd Caleb Burns of Beebe; and baritone Kyle Forehand of Maumelle -- will start Saturday's second round at 12:30 p.m. The final awards concert will start at 3 p.m. Sunday, with an announcement of the winners and post-concert reception in the lobby shortly thereafter. 10 JET FIGHTERS, ETC.

Hope for a strong, lion-size breeze at the annual Kite Festival, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, 239 Turpentine Creek Lane in Eureka Springs.
