Guard Demetrius Jackson scored 20 points and the third-seeded Irish (32-5) dominated seventh-seeded Wichita State 81-70 in the Midwest Region semifinals to reach to the Elite Eight for the first time in 36 years. 4C

Badgers back in Elite 8

LOS ANGELES — Forward Sam Dekker scored a career-high 23 points, Frank Kaminsky added 19 and top-seeded Wisconsin rallied in the final 10 minutes to hold off North Carolina 79-72 to advance to the Elite Eight. The Badgers (34-3) closed the game on a 23-12 run after trailing 60-56 midway through the second half. 4C

Musketeers wilt late

LOS ANGELES — Guard T.J. McConnell scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half as second-seeded Arizona put together a late rally for a 68-60 victory over sixth-seeded Xavier in the West Region semifinals.

Forward Kaleb Tarczewski had 12 points as the Wildcats (34-3) rallied from a late 53-49 deficit. 4C
