FAYETTEVILLE -- Police arrested a Fayetteville homeless man Wednesday after an 11-year-old girl said he touched her inappropriately earlier this month, according to a preliminary arrest report.

James Neal Bradley, 56, of Fayetteville was arrested Saturday in connection with a parole violation warrant. On Wednesday, he was arrested at the Police Department in connection with an investigation about whether he touched a girl March 6, according to the report.

The girl said she was sitting outside Kamp Laundry, 549 W. 15th St., when a man walked up to her, made conversation and touched her "bottom inappropriately" when she got up to leave.

Bradley said he might have touched a girl with a water bottle but was "adamant that if he did touch her it was an accident," according to the report.

Bradley was arrested in connection with sexual assault in the second degree because of the girl's young age, according to the report. He was at the Washington County Detention Center with no bond Thursday.
