A man suffered critical injuries in a shooting outside a Little Rock Waffle House on Friday morning, and another man has been arrested in the crime.

Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cedric Roy said it happened about 4:15 a.m. at the location at 4200 S. University Ave., which is southwest of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Crime scene tape remained up around the business parking lot — and around the victim's car — after 6:30 a.m.

Roy said the victim, identified later Friday as 29-year-old Cledia Graves, was outside the restaurant in the parking lot when the shooter fired multiple times. He was hit at least once and was in critical condition when he was taken to UAMS Medical Center by ambulance.

Little Rock police, with the help of U.S. marshals, arrested Jamarcus Hughes, 22, after conducting a traffic stop at Crystal Valley and Stagecoach roads, Sgt. Cassandra Davis said in a statement.

Charges are pending, police said. S̶e̶p̶t̶e̶m̶b̶e̶r̶ ̶1̶3̶t̶h̶
