A Jacksonville man pulled a knife on his brother Monday but ended up cutting his wife instead, authorities said.

Christopher Lin Williams, 41, is facing charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member and second-degree domestic battery, both felonies.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, Williams and his brother were in a "physical altercation" when Williams pulled a knife and swung it at his sibling.

Police say Williams' wife attempted to break up the fight and was instead cut across the left side of her face.

Williams was arrested about 7:50 p.m. at an address in the 2300 block of West 16th Street in Little Rock.

The report didn't indicate what started the altercation.

Williams, who was also being held on a contempt of court warrant, remained in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday morning with bail not yet set. A Monday court appearance is scheduled.
