Parts of Arkansas may see severe storms Tuesday and Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
Chris Buonanno, science and operations officer for the agency's North LIttle Rock office, said in an email the southwest third of the state is the area most likely to see severe storms capable of producing large hail Tuesday.
The intensity of the storms is expected to increase during the day with the severe weather more likely in the late afternoon or early evening, Buonanno added.
Then on Thursday afternoon into Friday morning, a cold front from the northwest will bring chances for severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, he said.
Buonanno said forecasters will closely monitor the Thursday system as it gets closer.
