Arkansas firefighters extinguish flea market blaze

VAN BUREN, Ark. — Authorities in northwest Arkansas say a fire has destroyed part of a county flea market.

Crawford County Fire Chief Jimmy Sullivan tells KHOG-TV the blaze broke out early Sunday morning. He says two people staying overnight at the Crawford County Flea Market alerted authorities.

Crews spent three hours putting out the flames, which destroyed about half of the market. No injuries were reported.

Sullivan says the fire caused at least $75,000 worth of property damage.

Investigators say a faulty electrical wire caused the fire.
