Police: LR woman arrested after stabbing neighbor

A Little Rock woman was arrested Wednesday after she purportedly stabbed her neighbor after a verbal altercation, police say.

A witness said Kymeka Harris, 31, was burning leaves about 6:48 p.m. at her home in the 3800 block of Arapaho Trail, according to a Little Rock Police Department report. Harris' neighbor, Marvin Bryant, 52, asked her not to come over where he was painting on his property, the report states.

The witness saw Harris and Bryant exchange words before Harris told Bryant she was "going to stab him," the report states.

Harris pulled a knife out of her pocket and stabbed Bryant in the right arm, police said. Harris told police she cut Bryant in self-defense, according to the report.

Bryant was treated at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary for non-life threatening injuries, the report states.

Officers arrested Harris following the incident and transported her to the Pulaski County jail, the report states. The Pulaski County jail's online roster no longer lists Harris as an inmate, and her charges were not known at the time of the report, police said.
