Man, 35, arrested in shooting death

A suspect was arrested Sunday afternoon in the Wednesday shooting death of a Little Rock man, police said.

Little Rock police and state parole officers found and arrested Bobby Campbell, 35, at a Little Rock hotel about 1 p.m. Sunday, said police spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen. Campbell was booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of capital murder, aggravated robbery and two counts of first-degree battery.

Campbell was arrested in the fatal shooting of Gabriel Carter, 27.

On Wednesday about 3:45 p.m., police responded to a residence at 1704 S. Fillmore St. and found Carter shot dead.

Carter's girlfriend, April Pride, 33, had also been shot. Pride told police that two men had shot Carter and her and fled in a silver Jeep Cherokee.

Pride was taken to UAMS Medical Center and treated for a gunshot wound in her left arm.

Campbell remained on the jail's roster late Sunday. His bail had not been set.
