There are a couple of special events tied to Project Elan.
The traditional opening night cast party will be held at 9:30 p.m. Friday, and it will include a post-show reception with the cast, immediately following the two-hour show.
On May 12, four of the show's writers -- Conly Basham, Mark Binns, Sam Clark and Jimmy Landfair -- will perform in a benefit concert that will include original music from the show and from their repertoire of songs. (The play will not be performed May 12.)
The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed at 7:30 by the concert. The reception, hosted by The Rep's Young Guild, will include a cash bar with light hors d'oeuvres, with all proceeds benefiting The Young Scholarship Fund.
