UA strength and conditioning coach earns recognition

FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas strength and condition coach is set to receive a prestigious national recognition.

The university announced Wednesday that Ben Herbert will be named Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association. The honor is the highest given in the strength and conditioning profession.

Herbert oversees the Razorbacks' sports teams and works closely with the football program. He is in his third season with the Razorbacks after spending the previous 11 years at Wisconsin.

Herbert will be recognized in a ceremony Thursday evening at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
