Body pulled from PB lake identified

PINE BLUFF -- The body of a man pulled from Lake Saracen in downtown Pine Bluff on Tuesday has been identified as 38-year-old Dave Johnson, according to the Jefferson County coroner's office.

Johnson's body has been sent to the state Crime Laboratory for an autopsy, the coroner's office said Wednesday.

According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, one of Johnson's relatives spotted his car parked near the lake pavilion around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and contacted police when the relative could not locate him.

Divers with the Jefferson County sheriff's office found Johnson's body in the lake a short time later, according to the sheriff's office. No further details about Johnson's death were released Wednesday.
