Tommy Bolt Memorial Golf Tournament, Luncheon
CHEROKEE VILLAGE — On Thursday, which has been declared Tommy Bolt Memorial Day in Cherokee Village, a celebration luncheon will be held at Fountain Place, an independent living center, to name the center’s newest building in memory of Bolt. Activities will include tours of the Bolt Memorabilia Room. The 12th annual Tommy Bolt Memorial Golf Tournament will be held June 27. Civil War Presentation
POCAHONTAS — As part of the Watersheds of War: The Civil War on Arkansas’ Waterways series, Davidsonville Historic State Park will mark the last year of the Civil War sesquicentennial with a presentation from 1-2:30 p.m. titled Boats & Bayonets: The Civil War on the Black River. Fish Fry
CABOT — The Tri-Community Fire Department will host a fish fry from 4-7 p.m. at the fire station, near the intersection of Arkansas 321 and Bear Road. Practical-Nursing Classes Application Deadline

National Juried Exhibition

Summer Reading Camp

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at noon June 6 and will be followed by dinner. The round on June 7 will start at 11 a.m., and an awards presentation will follow the completion of play. Kids Fishing Derby
MAMMOTH SPRING — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a Kids Fishing Derby, for ages 12 and younger, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 13 at the commission’s Jim Hinkle/Spring River State Fish Hatchery. The hatchery is 2.5 miles south of Mammoth Spring at the end of Arkansas 342. Anglers must bring their own bait and tackle in order to fish the stocked ponds. Derby rules dictate free fishing for kids 12 years old and under, a limit of three fish per child, no culling, and only one rod and reel per child.
