Scholarship Fund Luncheon

BENTON — The 14th annual Luncheon on the Courthouse Lawn to support the Single Parent Scholarship Fund will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Saline County Courthouse, 200 N. Main St. Elected officials will be on hand to greet the public. Lunch will include hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, chips, dessert and a drink. Downtown Crawfest Crawfish Boil and Crawl

ARKADELPHIA — The fourth annual Downtown Crawfest Crawfish Boil will be held Friday and Saturday. Crawfish and fixings will be served beginning at 5 p.m. Friday in the parking lot at 617 Clinton St. downtown, and a crawfish-eating contest will be held at 6:15. The Redd Tape Band and 80HD The Band will play throughout the evening. There will be also be a kids’ zone. On Saturday, the Crawfish Crawl 5K and 10K will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Clinton Street, along with the Southern Bancorp Andy Allison Kids Run at 10:30 on Clay Street. Downtown merchants will have sidewalk sales from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids’ activities will include the Cajun Classic Dog Show and the Critter Crawl Pet Parade. Merry Mixers Dance Club
