'Mary & Friends'

Academy Award--winning actress Mary Steenburgen; her husband, actor Ted Danson; and the Oxford American are hosting Steenburgen's annual "Mary & Friends" fundraiser for the Oxford American Literary Project, 7 p.m. Friday at South on Main, 1304 Main St., Little Rock. Performers in the Nashville-meets-Hollywood event include Steenburgen, Matraca Berg, Kim Carnes, Shawn Camp, Greg Barnhill, Shelly Colvin and Jeremy Spillman. South on Main will provide signature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres; Craig O'Neill will host an auction.

History walk

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program's "Walks Through History" tour will visit downtown Berryville on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse, Eastern District, on the west side of the public square. Argenta art

"Lend Me Your Eyes: An adventure in collaborative curating between UALR and Art Connection" opens with a free reception, 5-8 p.m. Friday at Argenta Gallery, 413 Main St., in North Little Rock's Argenta Arts District during Argenta Art Walk.

The exhibition, featuring works by graduating bachelor of fine arts students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and other students with the Art Connection program, will be up through May 27.
