Cash snatched from child, 3, at LR Target

A thief snatched $10 out of the hands of a 3-year-old child at a Little Rock Target and then fled the business, authorities said.

It happened shortly after noon Thursday at the Midtown Target at 420 S. University Ave.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, the 3-year-old child was in a cart basket while shopping with his grandmother when the thief walked up and snatched a $10 bill he was holding.

The grandmother followed the assailant as he ran through the store and out to a blue Chevy Impala outside, the report said. The vehicle then drove from the shopping center.

No injuries were reported.

The thief, who the grandmother reported passed her several times in the store before snatching the money, is described as black male between 16 and 20 years old who stood about 5-foot-7 and was wearing a red long-sleeve shirt and jeans or dark pants.

No arrests have been made.
