Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale, 1800 W. Emma Ave., presents Dave Anderson and Roger Walck in concert at 6:30 p.m. May 24. In 1993, Anderson and six others were rescued from the Bering Sea after their plane crashed on their return from a mission trip in Russia. He will retell his rescue story. The Unitarian Universalists Fellowship in Fayetteville, 901 W. Cleveland, presents a discussion panel on transgender issues at 6 p.m. today. Panel members include Stephanie Mott of Kansas Statewide Transgender Project; the Rev. Gwen Fry, an Episcopal priest; Raymond M. Sweet; Justine Morgan Turner; and Cathy Campbell, president of Northwest Arkansas PFLAG. Each will share stories of their faith an acceptance in places of worship. Janis Walters moderates the panel.

The fellowship hosts an installation service for the Rev. James N. Parrish at 4 p.m. May 31.
