Length: Exploring the recreation area, then along the dirt path that follows Fourche Creek and back, is 2.35 miles.

Main attractions: This lovingly maintained neighborhood park boasts tall, shady trees and one of the prettier sections of Fourche Creek.

Hazards: None, but park floods after prolonged heavy rain, and it was underwater last week.

Dog, bike, tyke friendly? Yes to all three. The small fry will most enjoy the paved trails in the playground area.
