Little Rock police are investigating a Friday morning shooting in southwest Little Rock that injured one person, officials say.
Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said about 10:27 a.m. a man was sitting in a car in the parking lot of Mabelvale Automotive Service Center at 5204 Mabelvale Pike when another man with a gun approached his car.
The gunman then chased the driver and shot him, he said.
The victim's injuries are non-life-threatening, Allen said.
Little Rock School District was notified of the shooting and lockdown procedures were implemented at Geyer Springs Elementary School, Allen said.
