North Little Rock's riverfront Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum is closed this weekend because of high water levels on the Arkansas River, postponing a 10th anniversary event previously scheduled for today, according to a North Little Rock Visitors Bureau spokesman.
Today's event was to offer a free lunch of hot dogs, chips and drinks aboard the Razorback submarine to observe the museum's anniversary falling on Memorial Day weekend. The free lunch offer was good with a purchase of a submarine tour or a museum donation during operating hours of 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
The World War II submarine is the museum's featured attraction. The museum is on the riverfront just east of the Main Street Bridge.
The event is expected to be rescheduled, the spokesman said.
