Spartacus is our pet of the week.

Spartacus is our pet of the week. He is all dressed up and ready to party in his new home. Lovable and loving, he is a black-and-white tuxedo domestic short-haired cat. He is friendly with people, other cats and cat-friendly dogs with the proper introduction. Children should be OK. Around 6 years old, he enjoys being petted and sitting in a lap, and he likes to snuggle in bed with a human. He is very laid-back and will accept wearing a harness. However, get him in a battle for his "Da Bird" toy and he will take on all comers.

Featured Felines

Ruston and Colby are handsome 9-year-old brothers. They are true domestic medium-hair orange tabbies. These brothers are large. Ruston is over 14 pounds, and Colby is not far behind. Ruston and Colby are both very sweet and friendly. Colby is super outgoing, and Ruston loves belly rubs.

Sara is a female domestic short-haired brown tabby with very pretty eyes. She is super affectionate and would be a perfect first or only cat. She is about 9 years old but is still full of life. She is a little chubby girl who is very, very sweet.

Halo is a petite 5-year-old calico. She is a domestic short hair with pretty eyes. Halo is very sweet and quiet, and she loves to be petted.

Spanky is a 5-year-old domestic short-haired orange tabby who is very sweet and talkative. He came from a litter of Siamese kittens.

Copper is a male, domestic short-haired cat with beautiful copper-colored eyes. He is a very sweet and loving boy who is a little over 3 years old.

Tony is a ginger, male, domestic short-haired cat with a distinct personality. He loves to be loved on his own terms. When he wants affection, he comes up and butts you with his head. He gets along fine with dogs and with gentle cats, but he definitely he wants to be king of the castle. He would probably do best in a house with one or two other cats. He will share the bed -- and also your meal if you let him. Tony is about 4 years old.

Tootsie is an adorable torbie (halfway between a tabby and a tortie). She has a surprise for you at the end of her tail. The last few inches are rings of orange. She could easily be an only cat or co-exist with one or two other cats. She will tolerate dogs with proper respect for cats but is not overly friendly with them. She is probably 6-8 years old. She would love to play with interactive toys but is not competitive.

Spatters is a bit of an imp. We think she is the prettiest tortie we have ever seen, and she has plenty of "tortitude." Her large golden eyes usually let you know what she is thinking. Spatters loves to play and is very affectionate -- when she wants to be. She would appreciate "staff" that would provide a way for her to go outside on pretty days. Spatters is probably about 6 years old.
