Fake sword draws crowd, arrest of 1

A North Little Rock man was arrested Friday night and charged with disorderly conduct after he was found standing in the middle of the street armed with a plastic samurai sword, according to an arrest report.

Domanique Hawkins, 25, of 5300 Summertree Drive was arrested at 8:16 p.m. Friday, police reported.

Officers responded to 5131 Velvet Ridge and saw a man waving the plastic sword and screaming obscenities, police said. A large crowd was outside, and police said the man was the source of the disturbance.

Hawkins was no longer listed on the Pulaski County jail roster Saturday evening.

Police arrest man in LR Home depot

A man was arrested Saturday morning at a west Little Rock Home Depot, accused of taking merchandise from the store, police said.

Samuel Burnett, 26, of 2000 Reservoir Road, Apartment 7, was charged with robbery and obstruction of governmental operations, according to an arrest report. Burnett was stopped by security personnel at the store at 12610 Chenal Parkway while attempting to leave with merchandise, the report said.

A security employee's arm was injured in a struggle before Burnett was arrested, police reported.

Burnett was being held in the Pulaski County jail Saturday night in lieu of a $15,500 bond.
