Police breaking up a fight outside a Fayetteville club arrested a man in connection with possessing psychedelic mushrooms.
Brent Allen Young, 23, of 962 W. Laurel Ave. in Fayetteville, was arrested Saturday in connection with possession of controlled substance and public intoxication. A preliminary arrest report states Young had 4.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms at the time of his arrest.
An officer patrolling near Dickson Street Social Club, 326 N. West Ave., saw two men fighting at 2 a.m. Saturday. One man had a misdemeanor Springdale warrant and was arrested. Young, identified as the second man, appeared intoxicated and was also arrested. A baggie with two mushrooms was found in his pocket, according to the report.
Young was taken to Washington County Detention Center for processing, according to the police report. He was not listed as an inmate late Sunday.
