A Sunday night accident on a rain-slickened Interstate 40 exit ramp in Faulkner County killed a Ward man, Arkansas State Police reported Monday.
Richard Williams, 26, was driving west on I-40 at 9:12 p.m. when he steered his 2012 Mercedes 250 onto Exit 129B at a "very high rate of speed," according to police.
The Mercedes slid off the off-ramp onto the right shoulder, where it struck a concrete pillar, spun around and caught fire, police said.
There were no other vehicles involved and no passengers.
