BENTONVILLE -- The Melvin Ford Aquatic Center is open for the summer.
The aquatic center will be open from 3 to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and from noon to 7 p.m. this weekend through Wednesday, according to a news release.
Beginning June 4, the aquatic center will operate under normal summer hours: Noon to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and from noon to 7 p.m. on weekends. The pool is available for party rentals Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
Wibit Wednesdays will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. each Wednesday beginning June 10. The wibit is a floating obstacle course that includes climbing, sliding and jumping from one end to another while it floats in the middle of the pool.
There are several programs and events this summer at the center including swimming lessons, a recreational youth swim team, and junior lifeguarding classes.
The center is at 2000 N.E. Memorial Park Square.
