Patriotic flutes
The Hot Springs Flute Ensemble will present a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens, 550 Arkridge Road, Hot Springs.
Sigilda Naidin will conduct a program of 13 American patriotic selections, including The Liberty Bell in an arrangement for flute choir by Ricky Lombardo; a selection of Civil War-era folk songs and a Civil War Suite; a novelty arrangement of “Yankee Doodle” (titled “Yankee Doodle on Tour”); and multiple piccolo players in Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever. Soprano Robin Williams will lead a selection of sing-along patriotic songs.
The Hot Springs Boy Scout Troop 2 and Pack 10 Cub Scouts will present the colors. Members of the John Percifull chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hand out free flags.
