Police found Jason "Snowman" Stovall, 33, shot to death Feb. 16 at a home at 1414 Locust St. An unidentified woman was found with nonlife-threatening injuries.

A later hearing will determine whether the teenager will be charged as a juvenile or adult, Malvern police said. The names of criminal suspects who are minors are withheld under the law.

The 17-year-old -- the second person charged with murder in the case -- is being held in a youth lockup in lieu of a $100,000 bond. On March 9, police had charged the youth with hindering apprehension or prosecution, a Class B felony.

In March, Cornell Jasper Huell, then 24, was charged with capital murder, attempted capital murder and aggravated residential burglary.

Huell briefly escaped from the Hot Spring County jail in April but was captured and taken into custody within 24 hours.

Malvern Police Chief Donnie Tabor said in the release that the investigation into the killing was ongoing.
