HOLIDAY HOUSE

Christmas shoppers mark 25th year of buying spree

For 25 years the Junior League of Little Rock's Holiday House has signaled the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in central Arkansas. This year's kickoff preview party to the four-day shopping extravaganza was Oct. 29 at the Statehouse Convention Center.

Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks and music by Richie Johnson while having a first look and a chance to buy what the Holiday House merchants had to offer. Booths were filled with a little bit of everything -- including Christmas decorations, clothing, food, home decor, jewelry and dog biscuits.

The money earned from Holiday House supports several of the league's community projects including Little Readers Rock, The Nonprofit Board Institute and Stuff the Bus. Presenting sponsor was Arkansas Children's Hospital. Bear State Financial sponsored the preview party. This year's event chairman was Brooke Womack.
