Pioneer Village Fall Fest

SEARCY — The annual Fall Fest continues at White County Pioneer Village from 1-4 p.m. The buildings will be open for tours, and pioneer crafts will be demonstrated. Live music and clog dancing will be performed throughout the event. Fall Fest and parking are free, but donations will be accepted.

Salute to Veterans Concert

LESLIE — The fourth annual Salute to Veterans Concert will be held at 7 p.m. at the Ozark Heritage Arts Center. The concert’s headliner will be the Mountain View-based group Possum Juice, who plays old-time/folk/bluegrass music. Veterans Day Presentation

FAIRFIELD BAY — A Sterling Scholars Veterans Day presentation will be held at 1 p.m. at the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center. Naval historian and author John Lambert will discuss the USS Independence aircraft carrier. Built for battle in the Pacific Theater of World War II, the ship and its air squadrons saw action against the Japanese, was used as a target in nuclear-bomb testing in the Bikini Atoll after the war, then was sunk in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Francisco in 1951. The ship was rediscovered in spring 2015, and Lambert participated in its search and location. The event is free for veterans; admission is $10 for others. For more information, call (501) 884-4440.

Fall Craft Fair

SEARCY — Women for Harding will hold their third fall craft fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the White County Fairgrounds, 802 Davis Drive. The event will feature a wide variety of holiday- and fall-themed crafts and other items from 42 vendors from Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Admission to the fair is free. Women for Harding raises money for need-based scholarships for Harding students. Craft-fair vendors donate 10 percent of their sales from the event to the organization.

Second Saturday Bingo

HEBER SPRINGS — Second Saturday Bingo will be held at St. Albert Catholic Church, 21 Park Road. Play will start at 5:30 p.m. with Quickfire games, and there will be a chance to win $500. A concession stand will be available, as well as homemade desserts. All are welcome to attend.

Dutch Oven Workshop

NEWPORT — Jacksonport State Park will hold a Dutch Oven Workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Visitor Information Center at the park. The workshop fee is $25 for adults and $12.50 for children younger than 12 who are accompanied by an adult.

Pancake Breakfast

HORSESHOE BEND — Knights of Columbus Council 10493 will sponsor an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. Mary of the Mount Church Hall at the corner of First and Church streets. A donation of $5 is requested in exchange for the breakfast, which includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit cocktail, coffee and juice. Fall Workshop for Kids

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council’s Gallery on Main will offer a Fall Workshop for Kids. Students will create fall- and Thanksgiving-themed crafts with help from instructor Leia Parks. Holiday Bazaar

CALICO ROCK — The Calico Rock Museum Foundation will host a fundraiser at the Printing Press Cafe. The Italian Night Dinner, with proceeds supporting museum operations, will be served family style and include minestrone soup, antipasto salad, vegetable lasagna and baked ziti in red sauce. HEBER SPRINGS — The second annual Hope Lutheran Church Bazaar will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, at the junction of Arkansas 110 and 107. POCAHONTAS — Davidsonville Historic State Park will celebrate the park’s 200 years of existence with a lecture series from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Presentations will be given by professors Brooks Blevins, George Lankford and Blake Perkins; and local historian Steven Saunders. Topics will be on the early history of northeast Arkansas and Davidsonville, including the roles of women in the area and why the town was created and died out so quickly. Food for Fines Month

WHITE COUNTY — November is Food for Fines month for the White County Regional Library System, which includes the Goff, Bradford, Baldwin Memorial, Lyda Miller, Pangburn, Rose Bud and Searcy libraries. Library patrons are required to return all overdue items to the circulation desk, along with one or more nonperishable food items, for all accrued fines on the account to be forgiven. White River Memoirs Exhibit

NEWPORT — Jacksonport State Park’s newest traveling exhibit, White River Memoirs, will be on display in the courtroom of the Jacksonport Courthouse Museum through Thursday.
