It's only fitting that on Veterans Day, which will be celebrated Wednesday, you should get things free!
Below is a large, but not-all-inclusive list of the discounts available to those with valid proof of military service. Discounts are available Wednesday at participating locations (it's never a bad idea to call ahead) unless otherwise specified.

Bob Evans Farms: Free breakfast from special menu.
Denny's: Free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon.
IHOP: Free Red, White and Blue pancakes (with strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Krystal: Free chicken or free sausage biscuit from 6 to 11 a.m.
LUNCH/DINNER
Applebee's: Free meal from a special menu.
Arby's: Free Roast Beef Classic Sandwich.
Bar Louie: Free meal up to $12 (available today and Wednesday).
BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse: Free entree under $12.95.
Cantina Laredo: Free entree ($15 limit).
Carrabba's Italian Grill: Free appetizer through Sunday.
Chili's: Free meal from a special menu.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store: Free Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert.
Fox & Hound: Free sandwich or entree up to $10.
Golden Corral: Free dinner from 5 to 9 p.m.
Hooters: Free entree.
Little Caesars: Free $5 Hot-N-Ready Lunch Combo, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Longhorn Steakhouse: Free Texas Tonion (fried onion) appetizer and a soft drink.
Menchie's Frozen Yogurt: Free 6-ounce frozen yogurt.
Olive Garden: Free meal from a special menu, garlic breadsticks and choice of unlimited soup or salad; veterans' families get 10 percent off their bill.
On The Border: Free meal from Create Your Own Combo menu.
Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin' Onion appetizer and soft drink; 15 percent off meals Thursday through Dec. 31.
Red Lobster: Free appetizer or dessert from a special menu, valid through Thursday.
Red Robin: Free Red's Tavern Double and Bottomless Steak Fries.
Ruby Tuesday: Free appetizer.
Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch entree and soft drink from a special menu, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
T.G.I. Friday's: Free lunch, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Twin Peaks: Free menu item from a special menu.
SHOPPING
Bed Bath and Beyond: 20 percent off purchases.
Home Depot: 10 percent off purchases.
Lowe's: 10 percent off purchases.
MISCELLANEOUS
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Areas: Waived day-use fees for veterans, active members and families at recreation areas nationwide. Waiver includes boat launch ramp and swim beach fees. Camping fees and reservation fees for special facilities will not be waived.
Great Clips: Free haircut cards, redeemable through Dec. 31.
Meineke Car Care Center: Free basic oil change.
Splash Car Wash: Free car wash.
Sports Clips: Free haircut; $1 from each haircut goes to Help a Hero. And that haircut doesn't event need to be a high and tight!
