Officers were called at 1:53 p.m. to UAMS Medical Center, where Brandon Williams, 28, was being treated for a fractured left leg. Williams told police that an acquaintance, Miranda Chenowith, 22, had arrived at his house in the 1800 block of South Summit Street the previous night and "created a disturbance" over $10, according to a police report.

Williams said Chenowith struck him with a 2004 Hyundai Sonata and then left.

Police said Chenowith showed up CHI St. Vincent Infirmary while investigators were speaking to Williams at UAMS Medical Center. She told police that Williams had choked her during a dispute, but had no visible injuries, according to the report.

Chenowith, of Russellville, was charged with first-degree battery. She was being held in the Pulaski County jail Monday.
