A bit of New York comes to Little Rock as the Arkansas Arts Center, East Ninth and Commerce streets, hosts its 47th annual Collectors Show and Sale, Friday-Jan. 3. Learn more about the importance of saving Arkansas' past at the Old State House Museum's newest exhibit: "Lost + Found: Saving Downtowns in Arkansas," Friday-Dec. 11. The exhibit examines eight historic Arkansas structures in varying conditions, from the completely restored to the crumbling. Houston-based CORE Performance Company will put on a free lecture/demonstration in conjunction with its touring production of their new work, Gaman, a blend of contemporary dance, art and music based on the internment of American citizens of Japanese descent in two Arkansas camps, Rohwer and Jerome, during World War II, at 4:30 p.m. today at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children's Library and Learning Center, 4800 W. 10th St., Little Rock.
