Several SEC teams are hoping for a November to remember.

Already five of the seven teams in the SEC West are bowl eligible, and Arkansas and Auburn could get that way with victories Saturday.

In the East, only two teams are eligible for the postseason and Tennessee most likely will make it three after its game with North Texas. South Carolina could be mathematically eliminated Saturday with a loss to Florida at home. Everyone else still has a shot.

Of the 11 bowls the SEC has tie-ins with, seven are more geographically aligned with the East Division.

Went 4-2 last week to bring the total to 66-17. Here are this week's picks:

ARKANSAS AT LSU

The Tigers have more team speed, the best running back in the country and a better-than-average defense. Their quarterback has proven to be steady and is a dual threat. However, the Razorbacks have a chance because of the matchup. Les Miles and Bret Bielema grew up on Big Ten football so they share many of the same philosophies. The keys for the Hogs are simple. The offensive line has to protect Brandon Allen and make holes for Alex Collins, and the defense has to make tackles. If they miss as many tackles against the Tigers as they did against Ole Miss, this game could be over early. Definitely a home-field advantage for the Tigers. LSU 31-27.

ASU AT LA.-MONROE

The Red Wolves are alone atop the Sun Belt standings. If they finish there and they don't get the elusive bid to the New Orleans Bowl, they should leave the conference. ASU 35-21.

ALABAMA AT MSU

This has to be the best coaching job of Dan Mullens' life. The Bulldogs are 7-2 after returning only seven starters from last year's team. They will have to stop Derrick Henry. Nick Saban wants Henry to win the Heisman Trophy, because it helps recruiting. This is a big challenge for the Bulldogs' talented quarterback, Dak Prescott, who won't face a better front seven. Alabama 31-28.

GEORGIA AT AUBURN

The Tigers are playing to get in a bowl, and the Bulldogs are playing to save Mark Richt's job. The victory at Texas A&M was huge for the Tigers, who are still the West Division cellar dwellers, something Coach Gus Malzahn is uncomfortable and unfamiliar with. Auburn 35-31.

FLORIDA AT SOUTH CAROLINA

No wonder Steve Spurrier bailed on his team midway through the season. He didn't want to endure what he helped create with a lack of recruiting. Jim McElwain and the Gators survived a scare last week against Vanderbilt and will be more prepared this week, and the pressure is off having secured a spot in the SEC Championship Game. Florida 35-17.

KENTUCKY AT VANDERBILT

After starting 4-1, the Mildcats have lost four in a row and the past three have been by a total of 81 points. It doesn't appear to be a good matchup for the visitors, either. Vandy's defense is tough, especially against the run, but it's solid against the pass. Question is: Can the Commodores score against a mediocre defense? Vanderbilt 10-7.

BYU VS. MISSOURI

The Tigers will need to muster all the emotion they can for a Cougars team that is as well-coached and maybe more talented. The Cougars have won five consecutive, and the Tigers have lost four in a row. BYU 24-21.

N. TEXAS AT TENNESSEE

If the Vols don't get bowl eligible against a 1-8 team, the coaching staff should be fired. Tennessee 42-3.

W. CAROLINA AT TEXAS A&M

The Aggies have lost three of their past four, and that victory came against South Carolina. This will be the Catamounts' second game against an SEC team. They lost 55-10 to Tennessee. Texas A&M 42-14.
