FAYETTEVILLE -- A Fayetteville man surrendered to police Friday after police investigated a safe found in his home.

William Hayes Tribell, 19, of 535 N. Oliver Ave. in Fayetteville was arrested in connection with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fayetteville police were called to Tribell's residence on Nov. 7 after a house fire was reported and firefighters spotted drug-related items, according to a preliminary police report.

Police searched the house and found six doses of LSD, 3.5 grams of marijuana, 1.3 grams of marijuana wax, 14 glass pipes, two scales, grinders and packaging materials, and a black safe from Tribell's bedroom, according to the preliminary report.

A search warrant was obtained for the safe on Nov. 9, according to the report. When opened, police found an additional 112 grams of marijuana, 8.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and $4,650 in cash, according to the report. The report also notes police found 17 marijuana seeds that had been packaged and labeled individually.

Tribell surrendered Friday morning and was released from the Washington County jail on a $1,500 bond on Friday.
