Rejected dice game followed by robbery

A man who declined an invitation to play dice was robbed at gunpoint Sunday, according to the Little Rock Police Department.

The victim told police he was walking home from the store when he was approached by Chemer Beene, 34, of Little Rock. Beene asked the victim to play dice. When the victim refused the offer, Beene grabbed him from behind and pointed a handgun at his head, according to the report.

Police said Beene demanded the man's personal property, then began removing valuables from the man's pocket.

Police later found Beene at his home at 3813 Arapaho Trail in Little Rock and arrested him. Beene had possession of the victim's property as well as a handgun and three small bags of suspected crack cocaine, according to the report.

Beene was taken to the Pulaski County jail.
