Little Rock police arrested one man and were seeking another in a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded at 12:48 p.m. to an Iberia Bank branch at 4900 W. Markham Street. Courtney Daniels, 22, was disguised as a woman when he entered the bank and handed the teller a note asking for money, according to police spokesman officer Richard Hilgeman.

Daniels then took out a black handgun and ordered the employees to give him all the money, Hilgeman said. He hit one employee in the head with the gun and ordered the rest of the employees on the ground, Hilgeman said. He said Daniels then fled in a red Nissan X Trail driven by another man.

Officers later found Daniels. After a vehicle pursuit, Daniels and the other man fled from the vehicle in the 2800 block of Barber Street, Hilgeman said. Daniels was arrested after a short foot chase and police found a bank bag in his possession, Hilgeman said.

Police did not find the second man. He was said to be wearing a bright red jacket. A more detailed description wasn't immediately available.

Daniels was booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of aggravated robbery, theft of property, possession of firearms by certain persons and fleeing. He was also being held on a failure to appear charge and was still listed on the jail's roster Tuesday night.

Tuesday's robbery was the second in less than two years at the bank. It was held up in March 2014 by a robbery ring based in Pine Bluff. Three men were convicted in June.
