North Little Rock man arrested after 3 calls to 911

A North Little Rock man was arrested Wednesday after he called 911 three times in 30 minutes and said "he was extremely high and wanted to speak to police," an arrest report said.

When a North Little Rock police officer arrived at 5125 Velvet Ridge, the arrest report said, Marvin Layton, 42, "repeatedly said he just wanted help and to talk to me but would not provide any further information."

Layton called 911 again but declined medical attention. He dialed 911 a third time in front of the officer. He asked to be taken to the hospital but then started kicking at officers and emergency responders.

Layton was arrested at 5:30 a.m. on charges of communicating a false alarm and refusal to submit to arrest. He was not listed on the jail roster Wednesday night.
