Gun, drug charges result of traffic stop

A Little Rock man was arrested Thursday morning on gun and drug charges after a traffic stop, a police report said.

Courtney Britton, 36, was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by Little Rock police at West 20th and Cedar streets at 2 a.m. The driver of the car was arrested, but the report did not say on what charges or list the name of the driver.

Britton was arrested after police searched the car and found a gun, marijuana, crystal methamphetamine and cocaine beside where he had been sitting in the car, the report said.

Britton was booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver, possession of cocaine with the purpose to deliver and possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver.

He also was being held on a failure to appear charge and was listed on the jail roster Thursday night.
