Associate blamed in gun, car attack

Little Rock police were investigating after a man said an acquaintance shot at him and tried to run him over Thursday.

Officers went to the 3500 block of Lamar Street about 4:15 a.m., where Barret Seymour, 39, said a man driving a black 2007 Toyota Corolla had tried to strike him with the car several times, according to a police report. Seymour threw a rock at the vehicle, and the driver fired one shot at him, he told police.

Further circumstances of the attack were unclear.

Police said Seymour had minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

Officers found the Corolla a few blocks north at a house on Valmar Street and spoke to the residents. They allowed police to search the vehicle, and officers found a gun holster and a .38-caliber bullet, according to the report.

No charges had been filed Friday as the investigation continued.
