First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, serves a traditional Thanksgiving dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. The cost is $12 per person for those age 12 and older; children 11 and younger are free. Reservations are requested in the church office by Sunday.

First United Methodist Church in Rogers, 307 W. Elm St., serves its annual community Thanksgiving dinner at noon Thursday. The meal is free. Reservations for dine-in or carry-out meals are requested by Tuesday in the church office.

Bella Vista Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road, serves a Thanksgiving dinner at noon Thursday. The church provides the meat, stuffing and drinks, with participants asked to bring side dishes. Registration is available on the church website.

First Baptist Church in Rogers, 3364 W. Pleasant Grove Road, offers free community Thanksgiving meals by delivery Thursday. The meal is for those in need or who are home bound. Volunteers will deliver pre-ordered meals between 9:30 and 11 a.m. Thursday within the Rogers city limits. Reservations available through Wednesday at the church office.

CHRISTMAS DONATIONS

Samaritan’s Purse sponsors donation sites at various churches in Northwest Arkansas, to collect giftfilled shoe boxes through Monday.

Boxes can include toys, school supplies, hygiene items, notes of encouragement and a “Wow!” item. Project coordinators hope to collect 20,000 boxes locally, with a world-wide goal of reaching 11 million children in need.

BENTON COUNTY

Corpus Christi Anglican Church in Rogers, 1700 Prairie Creek Drive, welcomes Bishop Leo Michael of the Holy Catholic Church Anglican Rite, in an Episcopal visit. The bishop will conduct Holy Mass at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, along with confirmations for those prepared to join the church.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bentonville stake, 1101 McCollum Dr., presents Nativity and Noel on Dec. 11-13, featuring a musical program, international Nativity and live outdoor Nativity display.

The international Nativity exhibit and live Nativity run from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 11-12 and 7 to 8 p.m. Dec. 13.

The 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11 concert features the Village Handbell Ringers, the Ozark Morman Chorale, the Washington Junior High Cantari Choir and the Bentonville High School Chamber Singers. The 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 concert features the Bentonville High School Chamber Singers, Ozark Morman Chorale, the Fulbright Junior High Advanced Men’s Choir and the Ozark Adventist Academy. The concert Dec. 13 begins at 7 p.m., featuring the Ozark Mormon Chorale.

Grace Baptist Church in Rogers, 2409 W. New Hope Road, presents Guy Penrod in concert at 6 p.m. Dec. 6. Penrod sang with the Gaither Vocal Band for 14 years before he launched a solo career. His current release, Hymns, debuted at No. 1 on the Nielsen Sound-Scan Southern Gospel chart and became the top-selling Southern gospel album of 2012. He has performed in Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Sydney Opera House, the Georgia Dome, the Billy Graham Crusades and the White House.

Jason Campbell, the film’s writer and producer, leads a discussion following the showing. The film stars Erik Estrada, Jessica Lynch, Angelita Nelson and Erin Bethea and shares the principle of Proverbs 31.

First Assembly of God in Springdale, 1605 W. Robinson Ave., presents singer Carman in concert with his No Plan B Tour at 6 p.m. Sunday. Carman has received the House of Hope Humanitarian Award, seven Dove Awards, four Grammy nominations and 16 Recording Industry Association of America certified platinum and gold albums. He speaks about his diagnosis of multiple myeloma cancers in 2013.

Ticket prices range from $10 to $25, with VIP tickets costing $100. General admission for children age 18 and younger is free, with no ticket required. An offering will be received.

St. Scholastica Monastery in Fort Smith presents a community dinner, “A Taste of Solidarity,” from 6 to 9 p.m. today in Galvan Hall at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith, 22 N. 13th St. Tickets are $10, benefiting the monastery’s Guatemalan scholarship program for girls. The Subiaco jazz band, Jose Galvan and friends, Ballet Folklorico Azteca and Ballet Folklorico Salvadoreno provide entertainment.
