Three men were arrested after they stole a Little Rock woman’s car at gunpoint early Monday as she was trying to leave work, police said.

Police arrested 30-year-old Brandon Thompson, 27-year-old Timothy Omejieke and 20-year-old Christopher Wells on aggravated robbery and theft of property charges, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Officers responded after 12:30 a.m. Monday to a robbery call at the Burger King at 14919 Cantrell Road. Four employees of the restaurant told police they were locking up the business when they were approached by two men dressed in black with their faces covered by masks, the report said.

One of the men pointed a rifle at 34-year-old Rebecca Hunter and demanded she open the door to the restaurant, police said. The victim told the assailants the key was already in her vehicle and the two men then fled the scene in her car, the report said. Hunter and the three witnesses also saw a “suspicious” vehicle follow the two men in the stolen car, according to the report.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle described by witnesses and arrested the three men.

Hunter’s car was found abandoned near 3 Westchester Court with the keys under a tree nearby.

All three suspects are being held without bail pending initial court appearances.
