A Sheridan man came forward Monday afternoon as the winner in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery’s $250,000 Natural State Jackpot, lottery officials said.
Ernest Mayhugh told lottery officials he shared news of the win first with his wife. He plans to give a portion of the money to his children and put the rest into savings.
The numbers drawn on Friday were 3-9-11-15-28. The winning ticket was purchased from the Mad Butcher located at 815 N. Rock St. in Sheridan.
The prize of $250,000 is the largest amount ever won in the Natural State Jackpot game, lottery officials said.
